About Torch Song Metals
Torch Song Metals is the life's work of master metal adornment technicians Emily Postula and Ashley Harris. After years (namely 5) of rigorous training in the prestigious Metals program at SUNY New Paltz, the two emerged ready to test their merit in the rough-and-tumble do-or-die world that is the jewelry industry of today.
As the years (3) passed on the two realized that they could no longer take the monotony and anonymity of laboring for others. The loneliness that only a jeweler can feel had set in and the two friends yearned to reunite with each other- their kindred spirits. The intoxicating thrill of creating pieces in platinum, diamonds and high karat gold for the top, most renowned, jewelry houses had soon lost it's luster and had become a cold empty feeling inside. They wanted to create their own designs! With their own names attached to the work!
Their passionate love of metal would always be unrequited by the cold unfeeling substance, but their hearts burned brightly as a reflection of the warmth and beauty they could create with it under an acetylene flame. Thus Torch Song Metals was born!
OUR MISSION: Here at Torch Song Metals we take our sacred duties as metalsmiths very seriously. We consider it an honor and a privilege to further this tradition and vow to abolish sloppy workmanship and bad design. We stand for truth, freedom and the American Craft way. Some may call us heroes, but I say we're just being responsible citizens. We strive to be an important part of securing a better Craft World of tomorrow. We hope you'll join us in the effort.
